Volunteer Opportunities

Opportunity #1: Youth Mentor

Take the first step to inspire youth potential

  • Description: BBBS is seeking volunteers in Northwest Chicago and surrounding areas to be mentors to one of the 350 kids on our current waitlist. Bigs (mentors) and Littles (mentees) go on fun and appropriate outings like visiting a museum, playing basketball, or exploring new cultures.
  • Commitment: Volunteers must meet with their mentees twice monthly for one year.
  • Locations: Our volunteers serve in Cook County, DuPage County, Lake County, IL and Lake County, IN. We are a community-based program, so our volunteers meet their mentees at their homes and at community outings.

Opportunity #2: Digital Engagement Volunteer

Connect with the community

BBBSMC is always seeking volunteers to help with graphic design, fundraising, or other skills that can be used to improve our community engagement.
