Kilpatrick and Parker Community Garden and Kaila Designs Join NFPN Holiday Drive

Kilpatrick and Parker Community Garden, located at 4646 W Parker Ave

Throughout the rest of November, you can donate to the Northwest Food Partners Network Holiday Food and Item Drive through a box hosted by the Kilpatrick and Parker Community Garden and #SpreadLove by Kaila Designs in Belmont Cragin!

As winter weather approaches, NFPN is making an effort to collect can openers, non-perishable food, and household items for distribution to families living in the neighborhoods we serve.

The donation box itself is located in the office space of #SpreadLove by Kaila Designs, 3120 N. Cicero Ave, Suite B.

Food and household items can be dropped off during the following windows:

  • Thursdays and Fridays
    • 10am – 6pm
  • Saturdays
    • 9am – 4pm

Anyone can also donate online via NFPN’s Amazon Wish List. Items purchased from our Amazon Wish List are automatically shipped to La Casa Norte, NFPN’s chair organization.

Unsurprisingly located at the corner of Kilpatrick Road and Parker Ave in Belmont Cragin, the Kilpatrick and Parker Community Garden is a community managed garden under NeighborSpace. NeighborSpace is the only nonprofit urban land trust in Chicago that preserves and sustains gardens on behalf of dedicated community groups. Anyone interested in planting in a plot at the Kilpatrick and Parker Community Garden should reach out to them via email!

Founded by Elena Magdalero, Kaila Designs, Inc. is a boutique graphic design and printing studio dedicated to bringing change and positivity to our community. From event invitations to centerpieces to posters to business cards, Kaila Designs does it all. Contact them if you’re looking for someone to complete a custom graphic design or printing job for you!
